Begin your journey at The Londoner in Leicester Square, where you’ll have time to unwind before joining your fellow travellers for a relaxed welcome dinner – the perfect way to ease into the adventure ahead.
The next morning, board your private jet and fly straight into the heart of the Atlantic. Touch down in Ponta Delgada, São Miguel’s capital, and settle into your waterfront hotel. Take a gentle stroll through the old town’s cobbled streets or join a guided walking tour to discover the black-and-white basalt architecture, local markets and striking churches.
The following day, explore the dramatic volcanic landscapes this island is known for. Gaze out over the vivid crater lake of Lagoa do Fogo, sip freshly brewed tea at a working plantation and stop at Furnas to see how locals use geothermal heat to cook traditional ‘cozido’.
Days 1 - 3
There’s time to bathe in the natural hot springs at Terra Nostra and visit the coastal town of Vila Franca do Campo before returning to your hotel for a relaxed evening by the sea.
Havana, Cuba
Fly west across the Atlantic to Cuba, where the vibrant capital of Havana welcomes you with its colourful buildings, vintage cars and contagious energy. Check in to your hotel in the heart of the city and enjoy dinner overlooking the rooftops of Old Havana.
Over the next two days, delve into the city’s layered history with private guided experiences. Walk through the colonial streets of the old town, admire the opulent Palacio de los Capitanes Generales and trace Ernest Hemingway’s footsteps through his favourite bars and haunts. There’s time to explore the art deco architecture, pause at the Plaza de la Revolución, and uncover stories of Cuba’s revolutionary past at the Museo de la Revolución.
Days 4 - 6
In the afternoons, tailor your time to your interests – maybe that’s learning the art of Cuban cigar rolling, visiting Hemingway’s retreat in Cojímar or soaking up the city’s rhythm at your own pace. Evenings are a chance to experience Cuba’s culinary creativity at the city’s renowned paladares – once informal home kitchens, now some of Havana’s most exciting dining spots.
Amazon River Cruise, Peru
Leave the city behind and fly deep into the Peruvian Amazon, where your private river expedition begins. Board your luxury vessel and settle into your spacious suite as the rainforest glides by.
Each day brings new discoveries along the Marañón River, one of the Amazon’s most remote and biodiverse tributaries. Rise early for birdwatching with expert naturalists, glide silently in skiffs through flooded forests, and watch for sloths, monkeys, and pink river dolphins. Try your hand at piranha fishing, visit riverside villages, and learn how locals use native plants for food, medicine and rituals.
Days 7 - 9
Back on board, dine on Peruvian cuisine crafted by one of the country’s leading chefs, relax on the observation deck with a cocktail in hand, and listen to the hum of the jungle under a starry sky. This is a rare chance to explore the Amazon in comfort, guided by those who know its secrets best.
Stargazing in the Atacama
Some of the clearest night skies on Earth await you in the Atacama Desert – and few places make them feel more magical than your private observatory in the high-altitude stillness of San Pedro. After a day exploring salt flats, geysers and ancient rock formations, settle in with a glass of Chilean red as your guide points out distant galaxies, constellations and shooting stars. The silence is profound, the sky impossibly vast: a moment of pure awe under the cosmos, with nothing between you and the universe.
Atacama Desert, Chile
Fly from the rainforest to the driest place on Earth and arrive in San Pedro de Atacama – a desert of salt flats, volcanoes and surreal landscapes that feel almost lunar. Your base is a luxurious lodge at the foot of a dramatic rock formation, complete with llamas grazing outside and a private observatory above.
Mornings begin with sunrise balloon rides over the desert, followed by immersive excursions with expert guides. Walk among ancient petroglyphs, float in salt lagoons or explore strange rock formations and hidden valleys shaped by wind and time.
Days 10 - 12
Afternoons are for slow lunches, peaceful siestas and stargazing beneath crystal-clear skies. At night, enjoy fireside drinks and Andean cuisine made with vegetables grown in the lodge’s garden.
Salvador, Brazil
Touch down in Salvador, where African, European and Indigenous cultures blend in a riot of colour, music and rhythm. Your base is a refined waterfront hotel set within easy reach of the historic centre.
Begin your stay with a walking tour through Pelourinho, the heart of Salvador’s Old Town. Brightly painted colonial buildings line cobbled streets, and ornate churches dazzle with gold-leafed interiors. Learn about the city’s Afro-Brazilian heritage at a dedicated museum, then stop for lunch at a traditional churrascaria.
Afternoons are yours to shape. Cruise around the peninsula in a traditional canoe, visit the famous Bonfim Church or join a percussion workshop and feel the beat of Salvador’s soul. You can also meet the youth of Projeto Axé, a powerful initiative using art and music to uplift the next generation.
Days 13 - 14
Evenings bring waterfront views, fresh seafood and the sounds of Bahia echoing into the night.
Madeira, Portugal
Your final stop is the lush, subtropical island of Madeira. Perched on a clifftop overlooking the Atlantic, your hotel is a Funchal icon – stylish, peaceful and perfectly placed for soaking up ocean views.
Spend your days discovering the island’s many charms. Wander the cobbled streets of the Old Town, browse the colourful farmer’s market and ride the cable car to Monte for sweeping views and strolls through tropical gardens. For a touch of tradition, hop into a toboggan (yes, really!) for a thrilling ride back downhill.
Tailor your experience with a range of options: visit the island’s most renowned wine lodge for a private tasting, join a food and culture walk with a local guide or head inland on a 4×4 tour through cloud forests and dramatic mountain peaks. You can even trace Churchill’s footsteps through charming fishing villages and coastal viewpoints.
Days 15 - 17
Evenings are all about lingering over Madeira’s fresh flavours, whether at your hotel’s Michelin-starred restaurant or a tucked-away local favourite. Your journey ends with a special farewell dinner in a 17th-century fort by the sea – an unforgettable finale to an extraordinary adventure.

From our clients
"Wouldn't travel without them!"
"Travelwise has been recommending and arranging trips for us for more than 20 years, and we have loved all of them. From the States, to Africa, to South America and mainland Europe, every trip has been carefully thought through from start to finish, tailor made for us, and with excellent pre-planning and in-trip support and advice if we need it. On our own we would never have found many of the locations Travelwise have booked for us, and their advice about when to travel has been as invaluable as where to travel. We have had very few hiccups along the way, but when we did, Travelwise was readily available to help and swiftly sort out any problem. Our latest trip to Tanzania was amazing - excellent locations and host company, all recommended by Travelwise, and more than met expectations. Wouldn't travel without them!"
