Touch down in Denver and spend your first days easing into the rhythm of the Rockies. Your downtown hotel makes a great base for exploring the city’s lively arts scene, buzzing food spots and leafy neighbourhoods.
Start with a stroll around Larimer Square or head to the Denver Art Museum to discover modern works and Indigenous art collections. If time allows, take a day trip out to Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre, where giant sandstone formations frame a naturally perfect outdoor venue – often paired with scenic hiking trails or a summer concert.
Days 1 - 3
In the evenings, try a Colorado whiskey tasting, catch a game at Coors Field or settle into one of the city’s excellent restaurants before heading west into wilder landscapes.
Montana
Fly north to Big Sky Country and check in to your luxury wilderness retreat on a working cattle ranch in Montana. This is where the pace slows, the views stretch for miles and the scent of pine mingles with woodsmoke in the air.
Your stay here is all about classic ranch life paired with elevated comfort. Saddle up for guided trail rides through open pastures, join a cattle drive or try your hand at fly-fishing on the Blackfoot River. For something more adrenaline-filled, opt for white-water rafting, ATV tours or sporting clays. Younger travellers are well catered for too, with a host of family-friendly adventures on offer.
Days 4 - 6
Evenings are cosy and indulgent. Tuck into hearty, seasonal meals paired with local wines, soak in your outdoor tub under the stars and fall asleep to the sound of the wind in the trees.
West Yellowstone & Grand Teton
Leave the ranch behind and head south to the gateway of America’s most iconic national park. Your base in West Yellowstone is a luxurious take on glamping, with canvas tents, wood-burning stoves and starlit skies overhead. It’s the perfect base for exploring Yellowstone’s wonders.
Spend your days discovering geysers, waterfalls and wildlife across the park’s loop roads. Spot bison and elk in Hayden Valley, watch Old Faithful erupt and walk the colourful boardwalks of the Grand Prismatic Spring. Evenings are all about campfire s’mores and the rustle of pines.
From here, continue to Jackson Hole, travelling through the scenic Teton range. This cowboy-meets-cosmopolitan town is surrounded by wild beauty, with easy access to Grand Teton National Park.
Days 7 - 10
Your stay blends rustic charm with refined luxury. Hike alpine trails, raft the Snake River or simply stroll the town square lined with galleries and boutiques. Round off the day with drinks at the famous Million Dollar Cowboy Bar or dinner with a view of the mountains.
Park City & Moab
Drive south into Utah’s mountain country and arrive in Park City, a former mining town turned alpine playground. Once host to the Winter Olympics and home to the Sundance Film Festival, it’s now just as appealing in summer. Your mountain lodge offers relaxed luxury, with spa treatments, outdoor terraces and sweeping valley views.
Spend your time exploring the lively main street with its galleries, cafes and boutique shops, or head into the surrounding Wasatch Mountains for a scenic hike or a ride on the alpine coaster. It’s the perfect mix of fresh air and small-town charm.
From here, journey into red rock country and settle in near Moab. With Arches and Canyonlands National Parks close by, this is Utah at its most dramatic. Stay in a lodge overlooking the Colorado River, framed by sandstone cliffs and star-filled skies.
Days 11 - 15
By day, explore towering arches, deep canyons and otherworldly landscapes. Go off-road in a 4×4, raft downriver, or take it slow with a scenic drive and a sunset viewpoint.
Monument Valley & Canyon Point
Leave Moab behind and continue through Utah’s wide-open landscapes to Monument Valley, one of the most iconic backdrops in the American West. Towering sandstone buttes rise from the desert floor, casting long shadows as the light shifts through the day.
After a sunrise over the valley, head south-west to Canyon Point. Tucked into a secluded corner of the desert, this is where remote wilderness blends with refined luxury.
Days 15 - 18
Spend your time hiking hidden trails, soaking in the scenery or simply switching off. For something special, book a hot air balloon flight or take a guided tour to nearby slot canyons and ancient petroglyphs.
Sundown in Monument Valley: Silence, Shadows and Sacred Lands
As the sun begins to dip behind the rust-red spires of Monument Valley, a stillness settles over the desert that feels almost sacred. This is the American West at its most iconic – and most humbling. With a local Navajo guide, venture out across the sweeping sands, learning the stories and traditions of this ancestral land as the light turns gold, then violet. Towering buttes cast long shadows across the valley floor, and the silence is broken only by the wind and the soft crunch of footsteps. It’s more than just a viewpoint: it’s a window into time, tradition and the enduring spirit of the land. Stay long enough, and you’ll watch the stars begin to appear, one by one, in the vast desert sky: a moment of peace and presence that stays with you long after you leave.
Grand Canyon Village & Sedona
Next, it’s on to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. Stay in a lodge perched right by the edge, giving you easy access to sunrise viewpoints, walking trails and ranger-led talks. Whether you take in the vistas from a quiet lookout or hop on the shuttle bus for the best photo spots, this is a bucket-list moment worth soaking in.
From here, travel south to Sedona, a laid-back desert town surrounded by red rock spires. Known for its art galleries, healing energy and scenic hiking routes, Sedona offers a slower pace.
Days 18 - 22
Spend your time exploring trails, browsing boutiques or unwinding at the spa. It’s the perfect blend of nature and nurture.
Scottsdale
End your journey with a few relaxing days in Scottsdale, just outside Phoenix. This sun-soaked city is known for its luxury resorts, top-tier spas and striking desert scenery. Your hotel is a tranquil retreat, perfect for easing into slower days after your adventure.
Spend your time by the pool, enjoy a round of golf or head out to explore the Sonoran Desert on a guided walk. If you’re in the mood to shop or dine, Old Town Scottsdale offers a great mix of boutiques, galleries and vibrant restaurants.
Days 22 - 25
After three weeks of travel, this is your space to simply unwind before catching your flight home.
