Rome

Begin your Italian adventure in the capital: a place where ancient history and modern life sit side by side. After your arrival, settle into your hotel and ease into Roman life with an evening stroll past softly-lit fountains and piazzas.

Spend your days exploring the city’s iconic landmarks: marvel at the grandeur of the Colosseum, walk in the footsteps of emperors at the Roman Forum and climb Palatine Hill for sweeping views across the ruins. In Vatican City, admire masterpieces in the Vatican Museums before stepping into the awe-inspiring Sistine Chapel. Then visit St Peter’s Basilica, where you can climb to the dome for panoramic views over the Eternal City.

Days 1 - 3

When you’re ready for a break, join the locals with an espresso at a pavement café or unwind in the peaceful greenery of the Villa Borghese gardens. Evenings are best spent enjoying traditional Roman dishes in tucked-away trattorias, followed by a moonlit wander to the Trevi Fountain or Spanish Steps.

Florence

Board the high-speed train north to Florence, the cradle of the Renaissance. Here, art, architecture and everyday life blend with effortless style. Once you arrive, check into your hotel and step straight into the city’s cobbled streets, grand piazzas and warm Tuscan charm.

Admire Michelangelo’s David at the Accademia Gallery, then stroll to the magnificent Duomo – its intricate marble façade and vast dome defining the city’s skyline. Art lovers will lose hours in the Uffizi Gallery, home to Botticelli’s The Birth of Venus and countless Renaissance treasures. Cross the Arno via the Ponte Vecchio, lined with goldsmiths’ shops, and discover the quieter beauty of the Oltrarno district.

Days 4 - 6

There’s time built in for leisurely lunches, boutique browsing and espresso stops in hidden courtyards. And when the sun begins to dip, climb to Piazzale Michelangelo for one of the best sunset views in Italy – Florence glowing gold beneath you, with the hills rolling beyond.

Gargnano & The Italian Lakes

Leave the city behind as you journey north to Lake Garda, watching as the olive groves, lemon trees and alpine peaks frame Italy’s largest and arguably most serene lake. Your base is the peaceful village of Gargnano, a charming spot that feels like a well-kept secret: all lakeside strolls, timeless villas and flower-filled balconies.

Settle into your hotel and ease into the rhythm of lake life. Spend slow mornings with an espresso by the water, then take a ferry to nearby towns like Limone, Salò or Malcesine, each with its own flavour and beauty. You could wander through gardens overlooking the lake, hop between local trattorias or simply relax with a glass of Franciacorta in hand.

Days 7 - 12

There’s also the option to explore further afield – Verona’s romantic streets are just a short train ride away, or you could head into the hills for a wine tasting in nearby Valpolicella. However you spend your time, this leg of the journey is all about relaxed luxury and postcard-perfect views before you venture home.
