Bangkok

Touch down in Thailand’s buzzing capital and ease into the adventure with a stay at one of the city’s most serene riverside hideaways. You’ll have time to unwind, dip into the pool and recover from the journey before diving into the city’s colourful energy.

With a private guide, explore some of Bangkok’s most iconic landmarks, from the dazzling Grand Palace to the gilded temples of Wat Phra Kaew and Wat Pho. Ride tuk-tuks through the old city, learn about Thai customs and traditions and see the mighty Reclining Buddha up close.

Evenings are all about street food and skyline views. Sample sizzling pad Thai and fish ball noodles on a night tour through Chinatown, enjoy a tuk-tuk ride through the city’s backstreets and end the night at a rooftop bar while the kids sip fresh juices and you take in the glittering skyline.

Days 1 - 4

There’s also time for independent exploring – whether that’s a longtail boat ride on the Chao Phraya River, souvenir-hunting in Chatuchak Market or visiting a floating market for a taste of local life.

Khao Sok National Park

Swap city buzz for rainforest calm as you travel south to Khao Sok, home to one of the oldest evergreen jungles in the world. Your base is a luxury tented camp surrounded by thick rainforest, where elephants roam, birds call from the treetops and the only schedule is nature’s.

At Elephant Hills, you’ll get to meet and learn about Thailand’s gentle giants in a respectful, ethical setting. Help prepare their food, watch them bathe and hear about the important conservation work happening here. It’s a hands-on, unforgettable experience for kids and grown-ups alike.

Spend your time canoeing down slow-moving rivers beneath limestone cliffs, visiting vibrant local markets and watching the sunset flicker across the jungle canopy. One day is spent exploring the dramatic Cheow Lan Lake by longtail boat, where rainforest-covered karsts rise from emerald waters and you can kayak or swim straight from the floating deck.

Days 5 - 7

Evenings are relaxed and sociable, with cultural shows, Thai cooking demos and stories under the stars.

Racha Yai Island

After your jungle adventures, it’s time to unwind on one of Thailand’s most beautiful islands. Just a short speedboat ride from Phuket, Racha Yai feels a world away, with soft white sands, calm turquoise waters and laid-back luxury at every turn.

You’ll be staying at The Racha, a stylish eco-resort set in a crescent-shaped bay that looks like it’s been pulled straight from a postcard. Your private villa comes with its own pool and plenty of space to spread out and relax – ideal for families who want both comfort and freedom.

The days here are all about easygoing pleasures: snorkel in the crystal-clear waters straight off the beach, hop on a paddleboard or take a boat trip to explore hidden coves and coral reefs. There’s a well-equipped kids’ area, indulgent spa treatments and delicious beachfront dining that makes the most of fresh local ingredients.

Whether you’re building sandcastles, stargazing from your terrace or simply soaking up the island rhythm, this is the ultimate family wind-down: sunny, slow and beautifully simple.

Days 8 - 15

When it’s time to leave, you’ll be transferred by boat from The Racha back to Chalong Pier on Phuket with a road transfer to the airport on time for your flight back to London via Doha.
